Army K9 Vet / Master Trainer / Behavior Modification
A dog enthusiast at a young age, raised in a household of DC Metropolitan Police K-9 Officer, Wyllie Mitchell Jr., James realized his gift of understanding and communicating with dogs at an early age. Upon joining the U.S. Army, he was accepted into the Military Working Dog Program. In this capacity, he spent his career serving as an explosive, narcotics & patrol dog handler/trainer. Missions included those assisting the United States Secret Service with Presidential and VIP missions both home and abroad. After military service, James also began training civilian dog owner to properly communicate with their dogs after seeing a large increase in dogs with aggression & anxiety issues. Regardless, of the age, size or temperament of your dog, MHG K9 is the place to get all your canine needs met.

Established in 2014, MHG K9 Training Academy takes pride in educating the world about the capabilities of canines. We work with all breeds, any age, any temperament. We provide training necessary for home/personal protection, service dogs and well behaved/controlled house dogs on all levels. No dog is too young or old to learn our seasoned methods. With over 30 years of combined experience and touching hundreds of dogs, our trainers have worked and excelled in every level of the canine world. We provide only the highest level of canine training.
